{"id":403,"date":"2014-07-10T12:46:36","date_gmt":"2014-07-10T22:46:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hilug.org\/?p=403"},"modified":"2024-10-09T12:07:04","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T22:07:04","slug":"lego-lemur-mosaic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hilug.org\/?p=403","title":{"rendered":"LEGO\u00ae Lemur Mosaic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the Honolulu Zoo&#8217;s Wildest Show in Town events this summer, Christine created a large lemur MOC mosaic to highlight the Zoo&#8217;s current <a href=\"http:\/\/www.honoluluzoo.org\/support-the-zoo\/leaping-lemur.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fundraiser<\/a>\u00a0aimed at helping their ring-tailed lemurs. The mosaic\u00a0was created out of over 10,000 LEGO\u00ae bricks. Detail of the tail shows use of old white bricks to create a more natural fade in parts of the fur. Pending the scheduling of the Zoo&#8217;s annual Gala event, we hope to have it auctioned off and have the profits donated to the Zoo to help benefit the Society.
